René Caovilla
The history of Rene Caovilla dates back to 1934, when Eduardo Caovilla opened his own shoe factory. In the 1950s, his son, Rene Caovilla, continued his work, approaching the production of shoes as if they were exquisite works of art. It was the Rene Caovilla brand that in 1969 presented the world with the Cleo sandals with figured straps. The pair, handmade and decorated with luxurious decor, became part of the exhibition of the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1975 and forever gained the status of a cult model.
